Economic Policy Workshop Tomorrow at the Schwartz Center:

"U.S. Macro Imbalances: Trends, Cycles, and Policy"

Luca Zamparelli, Lance Taylor, Codrina Rada, and Nelson H.
Barbosa-Filho

Wednesday
October 26th, 2005
12:30 p.m.

Join us at 12:30 p.m. for a brown bag lunch and workshop.

80 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY
5th Floor Conference Room

Join one of the Schwartz Center's research working groups as they
discuss patterns of net borrowing by major "institutional sectors"
in the US economy - households, the rest of the private sector or
"business," government, and the rest of world - and their
relationships with post-WWII business cycles and salient trends. They
will explore "macro imbalances", trends or cycles in net borrowing
flows that may be strong enough to threaten the system's stability,
and they will look at possible offsetting policies.
