[notes]
Harley Shaiken moved to Berkeley when I was a grad student
there. He does fascinating work on industrial relations and
globalization. He was then developing a long-term project
on Maquiladoras on the Mexico-U.S. border. I highly
recommend his work.
Sheldon Friedman, senior economist in the AFL-CIO Department
of Public Policy, asked that I forward the invitation to
economists who would be interested.
