This reminds me of a term of art used by various bloggers I read, notably
Atrios, but also Dean Baker, who would describe this as the "underpants
gnome" theory for producing a Marxist utopia, consisting of 3 steps:

1.  Advocate Marxist theories of action in the abstract;
2.  ??????
3.  Utopian Success!
