Very interesting. It was David Blackbourn who wrote with Geoff Eley the 
book _The Peculiarities of German History: Bourgeois Society and 
Politics in Nineteenth-Century Germany_, which is fundamental reading 
for anybody who wants to get to grips with the concept of 'bourgeois 
revolution', a topic in the habit of turning up here. Should be 
available in your average (English-speaking country) university library.
