There is more involved here than just the specific case you
mention. It seems to be a pattern. There are historical reasons why
many party members have played a leading role in struggles outside the
Party but take care to hide their membership in it. The Party itself has
sometimes favored this behavior and sometimes not, depending on
circumstances. It strikes me as a pattern that has deeper roots than
just Party policy.
