Apology to John Ernst

Boy do I owe John an apology! Of course my curt comments were directed
at Jim Miller's assessment of my argument, not John's; but for some
reason I typed "John" at the beginning of that statement, rather than
Jim!

John's comments on my post were very thoughtful indeed, and I will
reply to those directly in a short while.

Does anyone know what the cyberspace equivalent of "I owe you a
beer!" is??
